Father’s Day Weekend at Trout Camp: Thursday, June 18- Sunday, June 21, 2026

A self-guided wading adventure on the Upper Delaware River, in the Catskills, birthplace of North American fly fishing.

Join us in Deposit, NY on Father’s Day weekend for Trout Camp on the Delaware. It’s prime time for dry fly fishing and we’ve got a comfortable house with a pavilion, fire pit and 150 feet of easy, wadeable riverfront access. That’s right, just walk across the street and step in! The DEC classifies the Delaware River as a wild-premier trout stream, which means an exceptional fishing experience with the potential to catch a trophy-sized fish. 

The house opens Thursday after 4pm. Drop your gear and recharge or join us fishing right out front. In addition to our riverfront, over the weekend, we will explore nearby public access sites. Typically, we fish until early afternoon, then break until the evening hatch. And it’s hard to quit when we see fish rise to swarms of caddis and mayflies!  

There are just 5 spots available at this riverfront house. One bedroom is double occupancy; the rest are singles. There are two shared bathrooms. All meals are included. Feel free to BYOB and food that is important to you - everything else is covered. 

This is a “self-guided” trip, ideal for self-sufficient anglers who want to test their skills in the legendary Catskill waters. 

You’ll need: A NYS freshwater fishing license, waders, wading boots, wading staff, net, rain gear, bug spray, sunscreen, polarized glasses, a 5 or 6 weight rod with 9 or 12 foot long leader(s), tippet (4x and 5x), hemostats, and a headlamp if you plan to fish after dark.

Fly recommendations will be sent prior to the trip. West Branch Angler and Troutfitter Fly Shop are in Deposit.
