All Women: Our instructors are women, as well as our students. As a result, our students are able to learn in a safe and comfortable environment.
All Inclusive: You won’t have to find a place to sleep or a restaurant to eat. Everything is covered in your tuition, and our program is at one location.
All Levels: Designed to teach fly fishing to women who have never held a fly rod, as well as hone the skills of advanced anglers looking to shake off the winter cobwebs and improve their technique.

Never Evers & Beginners will start in the classroom to cover the basics of fly fishing before heading out to the lawn for casting instruction. Once students grasp the concept, they will have the opportunity to put those new skills to work by fishing along the 3.5 miles of private water on the Ten Mile River.
Intermediate & Advanced anglers will spend most of their time on the water for more advanced instruction, including reading the water, selecting the appropriate fly, improving casting skills, and learning new techniques.
The all-inclusive weekend includes:
Instruction by JASC Board Members and longtime anglers who are as happy to be there as you are. Your instructors will gladly share their knowledge and experience in order to give you the skills and confidence you need to get out on the water and fly fish.
Classroom sessions to learn about basic gear, essential knots, stream entomology, and fly selection.
Small group and individualized casting instruction.
On-water instruction to gain practical experience, including safe wading; casting; fly presentation; hooking, landing, and safely releasing the fish.
Advanced anglers will focus on mastering their techniques and developing new skills.
Meals start with dinner on Thursday and conclude with breakfast on Sunday. Adult beverages are available for purchase at our off-site dinner on Thursday. Wine and beer are included with your dinners on Friday and Saturday.
Lodging will be on-site at Ten Mile River Preserve in Dover Plains, NY. Anglers will share double rooms with private baths in the club’s main lodge.

We are limited only by our boundless enthusiasm and the number of beds available. Registration is on a first come, first served basis. All rooms are double occupancy with en suite bathrooms. If you wish to specify a roommate, please indicate this on your registration form. Also please indicate any special dietary needs - we will make every effort to accommodate.
